Popularized in the late 90's by OG T.V influencer Carrie Bradshaw, Cosmopolitan cocktails have risen and fallen in drinking fashion. I declare that it is high time we brought back the vintage tipple, but with a modern twist!
Let me introduce you to coolest vodka to hit the shelves in 2020; Nikka Coffey Vodka. Distilled in Japan by the beverage company behind the award-winning Nikka Whisky expressions, the creamy and smooth vodka is created in a coffey still. Japanese vodka that tastes as good as it sounds? That's a big tick from me. Now, let's get talking about that cranberry juice. Cosmopolitans are known for their cranberry base, which give them their iconic pink hue, but may I suggest switching it out for pomegranate? It is a richer flavour, while remaining tart and sweet! I recently rustled up a pomegranate Cosmo and if I ever open up a cocktail bar (sorry, I should say "when"!) I would absolutely place this on the menu.

Pomegranate Cosmo Recipe
2oz Nikka Coffey Vodka
1oz Triple Sec
Juice of half a pomegranate (or 2oz if you’re buying a box)
Juice of half a freshly squeezed lime
Shake over ice, and pour into a chilled glass. Garnish with lime (twist or wheel, whatever you want, it’s your drink!). How easy is that? I can practically here Ms. Bradshaw salivating. Okay...that's actually creepy. But I am sure she'd love it! I can't travel to a bougie Manhattan bar right now, so I drank mine in the garden, which honestly was just as great and I didn't have to leave a hefty tip!

Watch Me Shake
I made a super quick Instagram Reel of me making this delightful summer tipple. It's 15 seconds long. Blink and you'll miss it! It's so quick that I recommend watching it twice, but then I always recommend a double shot!
